Lazy Dinner for the Working Men: Sauteed Chicken Livers with Parmesan Polenta

Behind the title: something simple but filling for those long and exhausting weekday evenings when you come home from work and you just don't want to cook, but you want something cooked and you don't want to spend much time on it because you don't have much time and you don't want to spend a lot of money on ingredients because you are tired and you might mess them up.

Chicken liver is one of the least expensive meat ingredients and I like to use it from time to time, but I always prepare it super-simple.

So here we go:
500 g chicken liver
4 garlic cloves
1 bunch of parsley
1 glass of wine
1 tbsp olive oil

Heat up the oil, add the liver and let it change color for a bit. Add the crushed garlic and let it cook some more, stirring constantly (for about 4 minutes). Pour in the wine and cover the pan. Let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes stiring from time to time. Sprinkle the parsley on top and mix it with the liver, turn off the heat. That's it!

We served it ontop on some polenta with parmesan and butter.

Enjoy,
